Terms of Service
Effective date: 20 July 2026
These terms are a contract between you and Ilhan Akbudak (UniChat Dev) ("we", "us"), the developer of You V2. By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
1. You V2 is not medical advice
This matters more than anything else in these terms.
You V2 is a self-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical, psychological, nutritional, or clinical advice. Its features touch on areas where that distinction is important:
- Quit-tracking shows a general health-recovery timeline based on public health information. It describes typical patterns — not your body, and not your outcome.
- Weight and fitness calculators (BMI, BMR, TDEE, ideal weight) use standard population formulas. They are rough estimates and are wrong for many individuals, including athletes, pregnant people, and anyone with an atypical body composition.
- Sleep, hydration, and mindfulness figures are general guidance, not prescriptions.
Do not use You V2 to diagnose, treat, or make decisions about a medical condition. Talk to a qualified professional. If you are in crisis or think you may be having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately — do not rely on this app.
If you are quitting a substance where withdrawal carries medical risk (alcohol and benzodiazepines especially), seek medical supervision. You V2 cannot assess your safety and does not try to.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Keep your sign-in method secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Give accurate information, and don't impersonate anyone.
- One person per account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, but we will not do so arbitrarily, and where circumstances allow we will tell you why.
3. Your content is yours
You keep all rights to everything you put into You V2 — habits, notes, journal entries, all of it. We claim no ownership.
You grant us only the narrow permission needed to operate the app: to store your content, sync it between your devices, and display it to the group members you have chosen to share it with. Nothing more. We do not use your content to train models, to advertise, or for any purpose other than running the service for you.
You are responsible for what you write. Don't upload anything unlawful, or anything you don't have the right to share.
4. Groups
Group features are collaborative, so:
- Group members can see your display name, profile picture, and your check-in history for that group's shared habits.
- Anyone with a valid invite code can join the group.
- Be decent to your teammates. Harassment, abuse, and unwanted contact are not acceptable, and nudges are for encouragement — not pestering.
- Group owners may remove members and regenerate invite codes.
If someone is misusing group features against you, leave the group and email info@unichat.dev.
5. Premium subscriptions
Premium unlocks Category Packs, Group Mode, insights, custom themes, and alternate icons.
- Payment is handled entirely by Apple, charged to your Apple Account.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
- Manage or cancel in Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions on your device. We cannot cancel a subscription for you — only Apple can.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, under their policy. We have no ability to issue refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Prices vary by region and may change; we will give notice before any increase affects you, and Apple will ask for your consent where required.
- If a subscription lapses, Premium features lock but your data is not deleted — your group memberships persist on the server and return if you resubscribe.
Statutory rights that apply where you live — such as the EU right of withdrawal — are unaffected by anything in this section.
6. Free and Premium tiers
We may adjust what is in the free tier over time. If a change would remove something you already rely on, we will give reasonable notice. We will not retroactively lock data you already created.
7. Availability
We aim to keep You V2 working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The app is offline-first: your habits stay usable on your device even when our servers are unreachable, and sync catches up afterwards.
We may modify or discontinue features. If we ever shut the service down, we will give at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your data before it goes.
8. Acceptable use
Don't: break the law; attempt to access anyone else's account or data; probe, scan, or attack the service; reverse-engineer it except where the law specifically permits; scrape it; resell it; or use it to harass anyone.
9. Disclaimers and liability
You V2 is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data where you had the ability to export it.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your non-excludable consumer rights. If you are a consumer in the EEA, UK, or Türkiye, your mandatory statutory rights apply regardless of anything in these terms.
10. Your data
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile ▸ Delete Account, and export your data from the app whenever you like.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use You V2 after that means you accept them; if you don't, you may stop using the app and delete your account.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
13. Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for the app. Apple has no obligation to provide support for You V2. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price if applicable; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
